Grand Master

The grand master is the highest-ranking member, responsible for general leadership, strategy, and decision-making. Order members rising to this position may be from any martial sub-factors of the Silver Serpent structure, excluding the artisans. The various order commanders vote upon the position, which is held for life, retirement, or resignation. When an assignment or scenario is given to the grand master from either Serpent’s Hold or the Mayor of New Magincia, they will convene a council comprised of the master of the order and the various grand officers to ascertain the level of involvement and general strategy. More often than not, by the time the topic at hand graces the table of the high council, the intelligence has been assessed by the grand herald and scout and most likely presented by one or the other depending on jurisdiction and the nature of the threat. If the grand master deems it necessary for a joint operation and large-scale battle to transpire, then assignments will be given to one or more knight commanders to assemble their lances and further develop the operation. Out of character, the grand master, master, and select officers will possess the bodies of NPC leaders and support characters during Discord roleplay threads, as well as either plan and or participate within in-game events.
