Tonight, I walk a path of humility & strength.
I am secretly inspired though.
I am inspired by a very specific roleplaying community on Great Lakes OSI.
As I read through all the wonderful stories written by this community on the Internet, I can’t help but wonder why it slowly fell into ruin.
Was it OSI? Was it the griefers? I believe so. I believe griefers are simply bullies.
Bullies can operate in environments where they can perform malicious acts. Bullies can operate on Ultima Online OSI, Ultima Online Outlands, and Ultima Online Renaissance.
Bullies can NOT operate on Ultima Online Alive due to the rules.
When you remove the threat of bullying, personalities can thrive & character truly arrives from within.
I wish I could walk into Kazola’s Treetop Keg & Winery on Great Lakes OSI again & roleplay, but I cannot. It is gone forever. This was the second officially blessed tavern on OSI & had hundreds of thousands of visits. A memorial was constructed there & used for war.
Tonight, I pay tribute to Kazola.
I would like to honor Kazola’s thousands of hours of contributions to online roleplaying by encouraging new, past & present roleplayers to join us & build a diverse roleplaying community on Ultima Online Alive, a free community-centric shard.
As the leader of The Green Company, I salute all past Great Lakes roleplayers & wish you well in your journeys.
May the memories we experienced together bring you nostalgia, make you smile, & guide you through the darkness in life.
May we stand together in the light, once again.
