Character Lore

Well-known Information

Sir Raylen Avernn, Master of The Green Company, was born the youngest son of Sir George and Lady Celeste Alernn: heads of a minor noble house ruling a modestly sized fiefdom on the outskirts of Britain. Roje, his brother, was four years his senior, and his sister Renia was two years older. The family was typical of the nobility within the region: Orderly, dutiful, inclined toward martial pursuits, and civil to the commoners serving them. They were a loving but strict family that served the realm with loyalty and managed their lands justly.

Years passed. Raylen took well to his training and grew close to his mentor, whom he respected due to his passion, dedication, and ethics. At eighteen, Raylen was knighted, swearing oaths of fealty to The Order of The Silver Serpent. Through years of service, the young knight rose through the ranks. Adventures, and campaigns across Britannia shaping him into a skilled, and well-respected member of the order. A few years after his promotion to knight commander, he was offered the position as master of The Green Company, a new sub-chapter of the Silver Serpents, that established a fortress holding on the western shore of the island colony of New Magincia. He accepted and transferred to the new chapterhouse.

He currently serves at the will of Sir SolarsparQ, Grand Master of The Green Company, sworn to the defense of New Magincia, its people, and environs. As the newly-minted master of The Green Company, he seeks to further earn the trust and respect of his peers and acclimate himself within the culture of their island home. When not on campaign, and garrisoned in New Magincia, he is often seen touring the city, visiting the various Green Company posts, or enjoying a meal at the Fisherman’s Guild Hall, listening to the tales of the locals, and visiting merchants.
